Collagen tubs vs. packets

Compare the amount inside, the total cost and the format you will actually use.

The Peppy Club editorial · October 4, 2026

A tub and a box of packets can contain the same ingredient while offering different amounts per labeled serving. Compare the label before treating the two as equivalent.

Start with three numbers

Write down the total grams of collagen, the package price and the labeled servings. Price per serving is useful only alongside the amount in each serving.

A real label example: BUBS Naturals

At the time of review, the manufacturer lists 28 servings of 20 g of collagen in its 20 oz tub, and 20 packets containing 10 g each in the travel pack. That means the listed totals are 560 g and 200 g respectively. The packet and tub serving sizes differ; this is a label comparison, not a suggested amount to take.

Calculate a fair comparison

Price per 100 g = package price ÷ total grams of collagen × 100. For example, a hypothetical $40 package containing 400 g costs $10 per 100 g. This example is arithmetic, not a live product price.

Check the recurring price

A first-order discount can differ from the renewal price. Compare one-time and subscription totals separately, including shipping, renewal frequency and cancellation conditions. Keep a copy of the terms you choose.
