The practical difference
Codeage’s plain marine powder uses fish as its collagen source. Its standard multi-collagen powder combines several animal sources. Start with those ingredients and your dietary requirements, then compare package economics. More collagen types on the front label do not, by themselves, demonstrate a better clinical outcome.
| Compare | Standard multi-collagen Large | Plain marine collagen |
|---|---|---|
| Our product notes | Multi Collagen Protein Powder Large | Wild Caught Marine Collagen Peptides Powder |
| Collagen source | Bovine, fish, chicken broth, beef broth and eggshell membrane | Wild-caught white fish |
| Format | Unflavored powder | Unflavored powder |
| Listed price | $39.99 | $54.99 |
| Labeled servings | 63 | 50 |
| Price per labeled serving | About $0.63 | About $1.10 |
| Dietary distinction | Multiple animal sources; fish and egg declared | Fish-derived; not vegan |
How to read this comparison
Price per serving is price divided by the label’s serving count, rounded to the nearest cent. It compares the cost of a labeled serving, not equivalent collagen amounts or effectiveness. Subscription discounts, coupons, shipping and taxes are excluded. The number of servings can change when a formula or package changes.
Which details narrow the choice?
- If you are comparing animal sources, read the complete source and allergen panels first.
- If you want fewer added ingredients, compare the plain versions rather than assuming Platinum, beauty or probiotic blends use the same formula.
- If cost is the main consideration, compare collagen quantity as well as cost per serving.
What this cannot tell you
This is not a head-to-head clinical trial. Ingredient descriptions and product names cannot establish that one formula is more effective for skin, joints or another health goal. Trials of a specific collagen preparation do not automatically validate a different commercial blend.
For example, a 2023 placebo-controlled trial examined a particular collagen peptide preparation in 100 women over 12 weeks. It was not a comparison of these two Codeage products.

Sources and method
We compared the public manufacturer descriptions and one-time prices captured October 12, 2026. We have not tested taste, mixability or outcomes, and we do not score products based on commission.
Make a side-by-side worksheet
Open each product card below and copy the exact product name, source description, added ingredients and labeled servings into separate columns. Record the date you checked. A brand can offer several versions under similar names, so make sure the image, formula and package size all correspond to the listing you intend to compare.
Keep source preferences separate from performance claims
Source information can help you identify questions about dietary preferences or allergens. It does not establish which formula will produce a better outcome. If the label leaves a source or ingredient unclear, use the manufacturer’s current documentation rather than assuming what “marine” or “multi” includes.
Compare price only after fixing the package
Use the same pricing basis for both products: either one-time purchase or a clearly described subscription offer. Include delivery charges where relevant and note any first-order discount separately. If the package or serving amount changes, recalculate rather than reusing a cost figure from an older listing.
